Added spice at 2018 Towcester Food Festival

16th April 2018

Korean chef and cookery writer Da-Hae West will add a little extra spice to Towcester Food Festival in June.

Da-Hae will star on the chef demonstration stage, sharing practical tips on how to master her nation’s cuisine.

She is the go-to-girl for Korean cooking. When celebrity chefs Gizzi Erskine and John Torode wanted the learn about the country’s cooking, they both turned to Da-Hae.

Her latest book – Eat Korean – will hit the shelves in July. It is a mouthwatering collection of traditional and fusion dishes.

Da-Hae moved to the UK at the age of three with her English father and Korean mother and learned to cook at her mother’s apron strings.

Towcester Food Festival is a celebration of food and drink with up to 100 stalls bursting with artisan produce, free wine and gin tastings, live music lawns, a street food market and a free family circus.

Brackley’s Great Central Big Band will add a touch of nostalgia to live entertainment at this year’s festival, pumping out hits from the classic era of swing on both days.

Among the other attractions are the 185 cocktail masterclasses, storytelling sessions for children, kids cookery classes and the Foodies Lounge with free talks from local food heroes including David Baker’s Steak School.

Towcester Food Festival takes place at Towcester Racecourse on Saturday June 9 and Sunday June 10, starting at 10am on both days. There is ample free parking.

Adult tickets are £6 in advance, or £8 on the day. Family tickets are £16 in advance. Tickets are on sale at:
