Towcester Food Festival returns in 2019

1st March 2019

Towcester Food Festival – South Northamptonshire’s summertime, gastronomic extravaganza – returns to Towcester Racecourse in June.

Founder Crispin Slee has secured the support of the track’s new owners who were mustard keen the food festival should go-ahead.

He said: “We are thrilled to be returning to our spiritual home in what will be our sixth year. The racecourse is a fantastic venue and it’s perfect for the food festival.”

Traders are already signing up the show which promises all the usual trimmings – chef demos, foodie talks, wine and gin tastings, live music and a free kids circus.

Along with a street food market, there will be nearly 100 stalls selling artisan food and drink, many local to Northamptonshire.

New for 2019 are sessions led by cheese writer Shane Holland matching cheese with different wines, beers, ciders and even spirits.

Towcester Food Festival takes place on Saturday June 8 and Sunday June 9, opening at 10am on each day. Parking is free.

Tickets for 2019 are now on sale. Towcester Food Festival is supported by South Northamptonshire Council as part of the council’s drive to support tourism and the local economy.
