Volunteer and
be part of something great!

Become a festival maker

In the vein of Olympic ‘Gamesmakers’, volunteers play a key role at Towcester Food Festival. As well as feeling good and making new friends, volunteers get two free tickets to the festival, a free food voucher and a branded 'Festival Maker' T-shirt.

Sarah Findell, who lives and works in Towcester, volunteers alongside her husband Malcolm and their two sons – Ross and Thomas. Sarah said: “I saw it is an opportunity to do something for my town and the community in which I live. It is really good fun and I met lots of new people. It was a lovely way to spend the weekend and I can’t wait for this year.”

Crispin Slee, founder of the festival, said: “We are enormously grateful to all our volunteers. They really enter into the spirit of things and do a wonderful job. Thanks to them, we are able to give away thousands of pounds to support good causes locally."

Towcester Food Festival works with South Northants Volunteer Bureau (SNVB) who help to recruit and manage the Festival Maker programme. Mel Bignell, of SNVB, said: “Volunteers have the satisfaction of knowing that they are contributing something really meaningful to a great event.”

Volunteers need only give a few hours around the weekend of the event. They will be responsible for stewarding at the event, greeting, guiding and assisting visitors.

Please help. The festival is a great event for Towcester and also helps to raise money for good causes. Potential volunteers can register their interest by emailing info@towcesterfoodfestival.co.uk
